Overview
Curcumin, the active constituent of turmeric, is one of the most promising ingredients for promoting a healthy inflammation response.* While short-term inflammation is a normal part of immune response, long-term inflammation may increase oxidative stress and contribute to the aging process.
Unfortunately, curcumin is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb and retain. It’s fat-soluble, so it doesn’t move easily through the watery environment of the digestive system. To make matters worse, what little curcumin is absorbed is quickly excreted – usually as soon as one hour after administration. However, Unisorb™ Curcumin features the MicroActive® Curcumin complex, which delivers curcumin in a special micronized, sustained-release matrix to increase absorption and bioavailability.
